Steria was commissioned to advise on an extension to an historic building set within a conservation area.

We delivered foundation designs which carefully accounted for their proximity to the shallow footings of the heritage structure. Working with the carpenter constructing the green oak frame, we also supplied the necessary structural calculations to support the key design features.

Additionally, our apprentice spent time working alongside the carpenter on site, undertaking some of the timber frame repairs to the existing building.
